OTIT has begun publishing sector-specific operational guidelines for the Employment for Skill Development programme, covering railways, the food service industry, and building cleaning and linen supply in quick succession.
OTIT (the Organization for Technical Intern Training) has been publishing sector-specific operational guidelines for the Employment for Skill Development (育成就労, Ikusei Shuro) programme (previously reported, due to take effect in April 2027) in quick succession. Starting with the railways sector on 30 June 2026, guidelines for the food service industry followed on 10 July, and for the building cleaning and linen supply sectors on 14 July.
These are all practical reference materials for Supervising Support Organisations and host companies. Railway infrastructure, food service, and linen supply for accommodation and healthcare are all sectors facing serious labour shortages here in Hokkaido too, so relevant businesses should check the latest operational guidelines.
For advice on accepting workers under the programme, please see our recruitment support services.
